The College Advisory Program (CAP) is a required course that provides guidance and curriculum for teachers in grades 6-12 and targets outcomes for each student. Teachers deliver lessons to help students with college planning and academic advice. The intent of the course is to help students discover for themselves the power of a college education. Other benefits of the CAP program are to provide students with a teacher advocate, to promote the opportunity of belonging to a focused peer group, and to help students find ways to be successful within the academic and social options the school provides. The objective of the College Advisory Program is to provide support and resources in preparation for college.
